How to: Remove program from the 'Start' menu.
Solution:
Click 'Remove' from the 'Start Menu Programs' tab in the 'Taskbar' dialog box.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings'.
3) Select 'Taskbar...'. (The 'Taskbar Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Start Menu Programs' tab.
5) Click 'Remove...'. (The 'Remove Shortcuts /Folders' dialog box appears.)

6) Select the item to be removed from the 'Remove Shortcuts/Folders' list box.
7) Click 'Remove'.
